Some Day My Prince Will Come....

The Rawlinsons and Mary Catherine are pleased to welcome Prince Charming to our family. As many of you know Mary Catherine has outgrown her pony Lou Holtz and we have been searching for a new pony to replace him. Last week Ms. Dottie Register came by to offer us a pony that she had at her farm...She called him Smokey. After careful examination by Mommie and Mrs. Tina Young we decided he would be perfect for Mary Catherine. PopPop Rawlinson asked to help pay for the pony. The purchase was finalized on Wednesday. Uncle Sam McLaughlin and Mr. Brant Thompson picked him up and brought him to Wildwood Farm where he will live temporarily until we get a barn built down at our Highland Creek Farm on McLaughlin Road. Day one was exciting for Mary Catherine and Charming. It took us about a half of a day to decide on a name... Origionally, she wanted to name him, Tinkerbell. We talked it over and decided that it would be hard to name a boy- Tinkerbell. Finally, she decided on Prince Charming. She calls him "Charming". Our favorite moment is when she went out to the paddock to show him to GAGA. She puts her hands on her hips and calls "CHARMING!" at the top of her little lungs until he finally decides to come see what all the racket is about. Later in the afternoon, she helped get the pony groomed and saddled. She rode him with Mommie leading. She has matured in her riding over the Winter. She did not need a spotter holding her knee or back. She assisted in giving him a bath and a trim after the ride. We then had a brief photo session. We will attach photos for everyone to enjoy.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

"Hoppin down the bunny trail." We don't know the rest of the words to the song so she just sings these same ones over, over and over again. The bunny came and for some reason we were not disturbed by the idea of a giant rabbit coming into our house as we were about Santa. She did have some questions as to how the rabbit would know the security code for our ADT alarm? MAGIC! LOL! She has been talking with Fluffy(her pet bunny) for the last month about things she wanted him to tell the easter bunny. She explained to her Dad and I that the fluffy "knew" the easter bunny and fluffy would explain to him exactly how to get in the house and what she wanted in her easter basket. Thank goodness, he was able to sneak past the alarm system with a priness ipod, easter puzzle and princess walkie talkies. There was also lots of candy, chocolate, blowpops and sweettart jelly beans and a chocolate bunny. (By the way...Who knew that those would melt? Thank goodness that Walmart is 24 hours!) We had a wonderful family lunch at our house on Sunday. We were glad PopPop Wade could join us for church and lunch.

My Baby Cousin Wills Urquhart

APRIL is finally here!!! Thank Goodness!! Wills was born today at the Carolinas Womens Hospital at around 3pm. He has a beautiful head of light brown/ blond curls. He weighed 8lbs and 7 ozs. He was born by C-section. This afternoon Mom and I went up to check on Sissy and Wills at the hospital. He is so sweet. Mommie and Sissy let me hold him for just a few minutes. He really likes me. When he started crying I knew exactly what to do, I patted him on the leg and I rubbed his face softly with my finger. He really liked that and one time showed us his dimple. It was soooo precious. I am still a little confused as to who his "mommie and daddy" are. I keep explaining that sissy is my sissy and wub is my uncle but mommie keeps saying that Sissy is his Mom and WUB is his Dad. I am just not getting it. I cried when it was time to leave the hospital. I did not like leaving Wills there without me. I am glad he is here...I have a lot of stuff I am planning to teach him.
