Mary Catherine Shows Lou Holtz
Mary Catherine and Lou Holtz made their show ring debut at The Florence Charity Horse show. The show was held in memory of DaDaddy Mac. Mary Catherine was asked to carry the Flag on Lou. She looked so cute in her little blue riding coat. Those pigtails (Mary Catherine prefers we call them--PONYTAILS) were just precious with little white bows on them. Aunt Sissy and mommy had matching coats and they assisted. Lou behaved like a perfect gentleman. After opening ceremonies, they showed back in the leadline class. Mary Catherine and Lou got first place. Mary Catherine made it about 3/4 of the way around the ring and like the organ music so much, she just dropped the reins and did a little dance with her hands in the air. The crowd went wild! Good thing Mommy was holding the pony and Aunt Celia was holding Mary Catherine's back. It was so much fun. We think this will be the first of many show ring performances for this young equestrian.

Lou Holtz the Pony.

On my 1st birthday Mommy, Daddy andSam(Bubba) began to look for a pony. Bubba found just the right one for me in February. His is about 32 inches tall and is black. He has a little white star and back socks. I call him Lou Lou. Mommy named him Lou Holtz for me since he is a boy and he is tough. I call him Lou Lou and that is okay. I love to ride him. My mommy leads him and Sissy holds my back and walks beside me. Mommy says I will be able to show him this Summer at the Florence horse show. Gaga is having me a ridding coat made. I wanted PINK but mommy says blue is more practical. I am enjoying riding the pony but I especially like when everyone who is watching claps for me.

MOTHERS MORNING OUT

This week I started Mothers Morning Out. It was harder for Mommy than it was for me. I am in the creepers class with Mrs. Lucille. I have a friend and his name is Robert Lee. He and I both go Monday - Friday 8am-12pm. We have lots of toys to play with and the best part about the day is snack time. Mrs. Lucille has a table with little chairs in it that she puts us all in and then she passes out snacks. We eat Cherrios. Robert and I feed each other. It is very cute. I am still not walking great (still just taking a few steps and falling down) but I do pull up and try to walk. I still have my passy but I am using sippy cups with a straw rather than a bottle.
