E-BAY Shopping!

When Mary Catherine had the fever virus, I was stuck in the house and was going stir crazy. I decided to check out e-bay. I started playing on there and seeing what kinds of things I could find. I started typing in names like Vive La Fete, Hannah Andersson, striderite, polo, royal child, bailey boys, oriential express, kellys kids just to name a few. I have found I can buy cute little dresses on e-bay for 1/3 to 1/2 what these clothes cost in the store. I started bidding and winning. Kevin changed my paypal password. Before the accountant found out, I bought several precious rosalina, michael simon, kellys kids, lilly pulitzer and vive la fete outfits for Mary Catherine. All of the outfits were new with tags and there was nothing wrong with any of them. I also bought a new pair of stride rite sandles for $15.00. They were brand new in the box. I got the items in the mail 2-3 days after I "WON" them. I has been a wonderful to shop and not have a 3 year old hanging on my leg or playing hide and seek under the racks the whole time. Have any of you tried this method of shopping? This is great!

Westminister Dog Show

I have been watching the Westminister Dog show on TV this week. I have a dog named Babbs. Babbs is an OLD black and white cocker spaniel. She was my Mommy's dog way before I was even born. Babbs has a lot of patience. Through the years, I have bit her, pulled her hair, pulled her ears, loved her, hit her, attempted to ride her and over fed her. Regardless, I love her and she loves me. This week she and I have a brand new game. I am the DOG TRAINER and she is my dog. I want her on a leash at all times and I want her doing the things that the dogs on the show do. I don't know but I am getting the feeling that Babbs is not as crazy about this game as I am. Our progress is VERY slow at this point. Basically, I scream and scream and scream for Babbs to COME. Babbs sleeps and ignores me until my mother gets a treat and holds it behind me and then Babbs will do whatever I want her to do. I say words like... COME, DOWN, SIT, SHAKE, CRAWL, & ROLLOVER. Babbs looks at me like I may have lost my mind when I talk to her in this "training voice". When she looks like that, I just give her another treat. Westminister . . . LOOK OUT we will be there before you know it.

JESUS & GOD- Mary Catherine's perspective

Today I was riding with my Sissy in the car. I told her I was going to get a baby sister. Sissy said, "Now Mary Catherine you will need to talk to Jesus about that and when the time is right he will send you a baby sister." I told her "Sissy, Jesus is a baby and I think I might better talk to God about this because he is a big person!"

Engineers and things like that....

This week I decided I want to be an Engineer. Mommy was so very excited when I told her I had decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. She said, "That is wonderful Mary Catherine. Can you tell me what the Engineer does?" I told her exactly what the engineer does . . . "The engineer draws plans for Mommy and drives the choo choo train!" Mommie bought me a new little dress with a train smocked on it in honor of my new career goals.

Deep Thoughts...The Whole Wide World

Mommy has been reading this book to me called . . . Cinderella. It was her favorite book when she was a little girl and her mommy used to read it to her. For my whole life, I have wondered what it meant when they say "Cinderella's Daddy gave her everything a little girl could ever want in the whole wide world." What is the whole wide world? I asked mommy this question as she was reading to me tonight. Mommy said "UHHHHHH...Well Mary Catherine the whole wide world is....ummmm....it is ummmm....do you remember the globe at Gaga's? That is the whole wide world." I was just thinking...what would Cinderella want that would be inside the globe at Gagas?
