Westminister Dog Show

I have been watching the Westminister Dog show on TV this week. I have a dog named Babbs. Babbs is an OLD black and white cocker spaniel. She was my Mommy's dog way before I was even born. Babbs has a lot of patience. Through the years, I have bit her, pulled her hair, pulled her ears, loved her, hit her, attempted to ride her and over fed her. Regardless, I love her and she loves me. This week she and I have a brand new game. I am the DOG TRAINER and she is my dog. I want her on a leash at all times and I want her doing the things that the dogs on the show do. I don't know but I am getting the feeling that Babbs is not as crazy about this game as I am. Our progress is VERY slow at this point. Basically, I scream and scream and scream for Babbs to COME. Babbs sleeps and ignores me until my mother gets a treat and holds it behind me and then Babbs will do whatever I want her to do. I say words like... COME, DOWN, SIT, SHAKE, CRAWL, & ROLLOVER. Babbs looks at me like I may have lost my mind when I talk to her in this "training voice". When she looks like that, I just give her another treat. Westminister . . . LOOK OUT we will be there before you know it.
