GREEK FESTIVAL

My Aunt Flo and Uncle Jay Vinson are so much fun and are very cool! This year we went to the Greek Festival together. Both Aunt Flo and Uncle Jay had to try on my scarf with the coins. They are so silly! We rode the train, played in the jumpy castle and went down the big slide. They had as much fun as I did at the festival. We had so much fun we went twice!

Blessing of the Animals

Today Babbs went to school at All Saints. We had a special event at school today it was called Blessing of the Animals. Everyone brought their pets to school and we met on the front lawn of the school. Father Mark Riggs and the youth minister at All Saints came around and blessed everyone's animals. My class is called the perky puppies and we all wore our perky puppie hats to the event. We looked so cute. Mommie and I bought Babbs a special shirt to wear to the blessing. It was a navy and green golf shirt with pink and white lady bugs on it. She looked so cute. I was glad my friends got to meet Babbs at school. She got a special blessing from the priest.

This has been a busy month at All Saints School. The perky puppies are selling Sally Foster wrapping paper, we have been learning about apples and celebrating Johnney Appleseeds birthday. We made some really neat books and hats about having apples on our heads. We also made apple mask and hats. We have a little song we sing about being a little apple hanging from the tree. The tune is to I'm a little tea pot. It is soooo cute. It ends with see the little wiggly worm poking out. I love to perform this song for my family and friends. We have been learning spanish colors...ROJO is Red and I can say it. Did you all know that Johnney Appleseed wore a pot on his head. I made a pot hat for my head at school. My Mommie thought I was a viking...she didn't know about Johnney Appleseed. I had to tell Mommie all about it.

How Do We Get To Heaven???

As we headed home from school today Mary Catherine was sitting in the back seat. I knew she was being quiet but, I thought she was just sleepy. As we turned on Edisto Drive, she said "Mommy, how do we get to heaven, in a elevator, airplane or in a helicopter?" After a brief pause, I thought...I got this one. I said "Well, sweetheart, we don't use an elevator, airplane or helicopter to get to heaven. We use the love of Jesus that we have in our heart to get us to heaven." Brief pause and she replies is "Is DaDaddy Mac in heaven?" I said "Yes, DaDaddy Mac is in heaven." As she looked down the neck of her shirt where her heart is, she says "But Mommy, DaDaddy Mac was a BIG person how did he get in little baby Jesus heart?" Deep breath and then I attempted to explain the feeling of LOVE to my three and a half year old. Once we got through that extremely confusing conversation, I was hoping this was going to be the end of the BIG questions until her Daddy got home. Oh how wrong I was. Next comment was "Mommy, I want to go to heaven now to see DaDaddy Mac." Holding back all the tears in my overly emotional pregnant body, I say, "Baby,I miss DaDaddy Mac too but we can't go to heaven until Jesus decides we are ready to go be with him in heaven." Hoping she is going to think of something else, I begin to pray. Then in a much lighter voice Mary Catherine says "So what do they have in heaven?" My replies are guarded at this point but and I am really trying to roll with it. I think...got this one..."Oh in heaven they have all the good things you can ever think of." Her little blue eyes lit up and she said "like princesses, ponies, candy, cookies and ice cream?" I said "Sure, if you think those are all good things then I am sure they have all of those things in heaven." There is a quiet pause in the back seat. I am thinking WHEWWWW but holding my breath at the same time! Then all of a sudden she says "So Mommy, do they have cotton candy in heaven?" I think, okay this is odd but, I got this one too..."Sure sweetheart, if you think cotton candy is good, then I am sure they have some of that in heaven." Very brief pause and she replies..."Well Mommy, you know we could just go back to Disney on Ice and get some of that cotton candy we don't have to go all the way to heaven to get it." I about fell out of the car. I have no idea how the conversation went from -how to get to heaven to Cotton Candy at Disney on Ice but all this Mom can say is....WHEEEEEEEEW!

Wiggles with MEME & AUNT PAM

Today my Meme and Aunt Pam took me for a special treat in Charleston. We went to the Charleston Coliseum to see the Wiggles Dance Concert. The Wiggles turned 15 years old and it was their birthday party. It was a great celebration and we had such a good time. Meme and Aunt Pam bought me a light up wiggles car, a t-shirt, a sticker program and a book about the wiggles. We sat very close to the stage so I could see all of my favorite characters well. I danced with Dorothy, Wags and Henry. My favorite song was Hot Potato! Murray and Captain Feathersword came out in the audience very close to us. It was a wonderful day and experience. Thank you Aunt Pam and Meme for this wonderful adventure!

First Day of School at All Saints

Today was my first day at All Saints Day School. My teachers are Mrs. Laura Lee Justice and Mrs. Mary Crouch. This morning I had to be at school at 9am but from tommorrow forward I have to be there at 8am. This morning my Mommie took me to school. I told her I was a little bit nervous. Mommie told me not to be nervous but to just be myself and have a good time. I got to carry my new princess back pack that Gaga got me and my Cinderella lunch box. I usually get out at 11:45am but on Wednesdays I get to stay until 2:40pm and have lunch at school. Mommie packed my lunch today. I had a ham and cheese sandwich, doritos, juice, rice krispy treat and princess snacks. There are 13 friends in my class. They include: Vicky Campbell, Grace Howard, Bella Jailette, Emily King, Taylor McCall, Lauren Thompson, Izzy Vilar, Austin Brown, Peyton Brown, Lucas Copes, Zach Dutton and Ashton Scipio. We have assigned seats and I sit next to Emily. Today we played with playdough and read a book called The Kissing Hand. The book was about a little racoon who was afraid to go to school and he cried. He was very sad and he got a kissing hand from his Mommie and he was happy again. My homework is to make a kissing hand tonight. When we got home from school, I had mommie put on my nightgown and I immediately wanted to take a nap. School wore me out!
